Founded by Ane Aubert, Lykke Living began as a personal journey. While living in Norway, Ane bought an apartment in Cape Town that was still under development. By the time it was ready for key handover, COVID-19 had hit, and she could not travel.
She needed someone she could trust to bring her interior vision to life, purchase and install everything, and manage the home with the same care she would. When she could not find that, she created it herself and now has a dedicated and professional team on the ground.
Lykke means “happiness” in Norwegian, and we hope working with, or staying in one of our properties, brings you exactly that.

Ane – Founder and CEO
Ane Aubert is the founder of Lykke Living and a real estate investor from Norway with a passion for travel and interior design. With nearly 20 years of leadership experience across Europe and Africa in the energy sector, Ane brings a global perspective and professionalism to everything she does. Her dedication to quality and personal attention is at the heart of Lykke Living.
Having invested in and transformed several of her own properties, she brings practical investment insight and creative ideas to help property owners maximize their homes’ rental potential.
Her private homes and designs have been featured in popular Norwegian interior magazines Bonytt and Maison. Ane’s approach blends Scandinavian simplicity with African warmth, creating unique and welcoming spaces.
Belinda & Graeme – Lykke Living’s dedicated on-the-ground team
Belinda manages guest bookings and administration. She is a licensed real estate broker and helps owners find the right investment properties and guides them smoothly through the purchase process. Dreaming of owning her own boutique guest house, and having a background in design, Belinda loves being deeply involved in the interior design journey for Lykke Living clients.
Graeme is a trusted property manager who cares for owners’ homes as if they were his own. From coordinating maintenance and upgrades to welcoming guests at check-in and staying in touch throughout their stay, Graeme ensures every experience is seamless and enjoyable. A former business owner with experience in the bedding industry and contractor work, he brings sharp attention to detail and valuable project management skills to Lykke Living.
Together, Belinda and Graeme form the heart of Lykke Living’s on-the-ground team, delivering exceptional care and service to both owners and guests.
Nyari – our friendly cleaning star
Nyari is the dedicated cleaner for one of our properties and always greets guests with a warm smile. Professional and attentive, she ensures that the home remains spotless and comfortable, while readily assisting guests with their needs during their stay. Beyond Nyari, we work closely with a professional cleaning company whose skilled team ensures that all our homes are perfectly prepared and guest-ready every time.
Willie — your personal butler
Willie is our trusted butler who can be booked separately to elevate your stay. Whether it’s preparing breakfasts, light lunches, BBQs, or providing bar services, Willie takes care of it all. He also helps keep the pool sparkling clean, assists with housekeeping, and is always ready to support guests with anything they need to make their stay comfortable and memorable.
